Social Innovation: One Call Away (Human Population Issues)

This social innovation proposal was came out from the issue of we not often communicate or connect with our older family member such our grandparent, aunty and uncle or other older closed family members. I named this innovation as One Call A Away Project. I plan to do this project at the university campus specifically Sultan Azlan Shah Campus, Proton City because here has the hostel of all four hostel. 

The main idea of this One Call Away Project is build a platform where students can call their closed members especially their older family member for free or for very cheap rate. As we all know, as a student every cents spend need to be worth it and not being waste away. That why I would like to propose this project as one of the way in helping student connect and communicate with their family member more often. 

The first steps is to working closed with the student representative committee at the university and also the representative committee of the hostel. This is to help in finding the fund for this project and also get the budget. The main cost in this project is on the prepaid used for student to call their family members. To reduce this the cost, this project can be run on the weekly basis with a certain number of student used and also how long they can talk to their family members. We could get the funding from the university, donations and also sponsorship from any company interested in in project.

Next steps is to choose is the best locations to run this project. In my observation, the best places is at the cafeteria where are the more student there. One spot or corner at the cafeteria can be choose to setup the program. Besides that, a team of volunteer also need to be create to help managing this project during the actual situation. They will help conducting the student that wanted to make the calls. 

I really hope this program would help student to communicate and connect with their closed family members more. I also hope that this program should be a long term project.
